Glen Canyon Park: This vast city park is roughly 70 acres of fields and wilderness. The Recreation Center is part of San Francisco’s Park & Recreation Department. In 2017, a major renovation project included a new basketball court, rock climbing facility, play yard, tennis courts and beautiful landscaping and picnic tables. Beyond the Recreation Center and vast ball fields, lies a canyon providing a wilderness oasis, with an extensive network of hiking trails. You can experience San Francisco’s diverse terrain. The park not only serves as a relaxing sanctuary from the city’s urban bustle, it provides a habitat for wildlife, such as red-tailed hawks, great horned owls and coyotes.

The Schools: Many schools in the area serve the flourishing population of families, including Glen Park Elementary School (Big Blue), Glenridge Co-op Nursery, Glen Park Montessori Preschool, and St. John School (K-8).

Transportation: The ease and convenience of public transportation is one of the great pluses of life here. Centrally located is the Glen Park BART station for trips downtown and to the airport. This is also a bustling hub for numerous tech shuttles down the peninsula. The MUNI J-line is situated in a median on San Jose Ave behind BART.
